Stage Hand$7.99 from Wooji Juice Stage Hand

The original, and still the best!

Use Stage Hand to control your Keynote presentations from your iPhone or iPod Touch.

Stage Hand also shows you the notes for your current slide for those moments when you need a quick reminder.

No more worries about getting index cards out-of-order. No more hunching over your laptop, or filling precious space in your travel bag with an expensive “clicker” and its “dongle”. After all, you have your iPhone/iPod with you anyway — you might as well put it to work.

Tilt it on its side and a miniature of the big screen is shown on your small screen. Draw your audience’s attention with the Stage Hand highlighter: Tap anywhere on the screen to spotlight your slide, with a choice of graphics and colours.

Plus, all these features have been added, since Stage Hand was first released:

- Jump directly to any slide during a presentation
- Blackout/whiteout the screen
- Presentation timer
- Adjustable font size in Notes View
- Navigate in landscape (Slide View) mode
- Optional audio feedback
- Resize and customise the highlighter
- Wi-Fi signal meter
- Optional, customisable toolbar
- Rotation lock
- Remote control your Mac’s audio volume
- Choose to show Keynote’s Presenter Display (if supported by your Mac) instead of slides

NOTE: Stage Hand requires Keynote ‘08, part of the iWork ‘08 suite, on a Macintosh computer with OS X 10.5 “Leopard” or later. Windows/Powerpoint is not supported. In order to communicate with Keynote, Stage Hand requires a small helper application, Stage Manager, available free from our website. You will need a working Wi-Fi connection between your iPhone/iPod Touch and your computer.

(Within iTunes, click “Wooji Juice Web Site”, then “Stage Manager” to get to the download page.)

Note to existing customers: If the highlighter doesn’t appear over your presentation, make sure you’ve enabled “Allow Exposé, Dashboard and others to use screen” in the Keynote preferences!

How Did You Do That?
A number of people frequently ask me about how I control my presentations from my iPhone as well as what I use to create the presentations they see me give. This post is offered to provide some quick answers to those questions.

Introducing Stage Hand, the Real Keynote Controller for the iPhone
I had reviewed some remote control apps previously, some of which offered some sort of functionality for controlling Keynote presentations. Then Phil Schiller ‘wowed’ us all with the slick Keynote app, and I thought that was definitely

Macworld 2009 Keynote
Lots of iPhone users were disappointed earlier this week when there was little or no major iPhone news at Phil Schiller’s Macworld keynote speech. And maybe we shouldn’t be expecting any more until halfway through the year.

Macworld’09
Hey guys, I am finally back from my 3 weeks trip in Shanghai. To tell the truth, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, with visits to exotic villas, great (but greasy) food like snake meat, which I have taken a liking to,

The Wonders of the App Store (Part 1)
With the increasing number of iPhone apps available online in the iTunes Store for dirt cheap prices, it takes some time to go through reviews and filter out the extraordinary ones from those that are just mildly interesting.
