-16 bit resolution
-44.1KHz sample frequency
-Uncompressed samples
-No clicks
-No distortion
-high quality samples from soundside.de

ultra fast (low latency)

Full stereo

Enhanced reverb (hall) sound

Optimized for both headphones and inbuilt iPhone speakers

play along with your iPod (the app won’t stop your inbuilt iPod sound)

Polyphone sounds:
-Play chords with up to 5 tones at a time (iPhone can detect max 5 touches at once)
-In case you play the same tone more then once - then you will NOT get the sample restarted but an additional sample (as with all high quality samplers)

Choose between different keyboard sizes

Transpose the keyboard up and down

Very fast start of the app - start and play

Enjoy your new Grand Piano

Check out our homepage for Real Piano soundsamples and videos.

Hint:
RealPiano standalone is very fast (very short latency).
If you play along to your iPod then the latency will be increased a little bit - because the iPod sucks some of the iPhone/iPod touch energie - but you still can play in sync with your iPod.

Make sure NOT to use the iPod EQ (system settings), because this will need a lot more power from the CPU - and lead to higher latency. Switch off the Phone, WLan and Bluetooth to get even faster response.

For iPod touch users:
iPod touch (first generation) has no inbuilt speaker, use your headphones. In order to hear the RealPiano sounds activate your system sounds via ‘General-Sound Effects’ set it to ‘both’ and turn up the volume ‘Settings - Music - Volume Limit’.

Check our webpage to read the FAQ or send us an Email in case of any problems.

——————————————-

We received lots of great feedback and ideas for future updates - we have updated this version and will update it in the future.

The Sample length was more then doubled in the current version - compared to version 1.0.

Jingle Bells (Summer Bells)

April 19th, 2009

Jingle Bells (Summer Bells)$1.99 from Armin Heinrich Jingle Bells (Summer Bells)

This is the Summer Version of Jingle Bells to get that holiday feeling ;-)
With ‘Jingle Bells (Summer Bells)’ can you easily play common or your own songs.

Everybody can play nice music - you don’t need to be a musician.

It’s almost impossible to play any ‘wrong’ tones since all 14 bells are tuned to one musical key (C-Dur for the experts).

Since most common songs are in C-Dur it’s a joy to play.

You can play any number of bells at once.

High quality sound samples are used.

Check our homepage for a Video to get an idea how to use them and how they sound.

RTA

April 18th, 2009

RTA$9.99 from Studio Six Digital RTA

A Real Time Analyzer for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Test your speakers, tune your room, do acoustical analysis work or just have fun. RTA is a professional-grade acoustical analysis tool. All filters meet or exceed ANSI and IEC specifications.

Includes Octave and 1/3 Octave modes, with selectable decay times, as well as Peak Hold and true linear Average mode.

Also includes a built-in pink noise generator. Flip the screen over, turn on pink noise, and plug a cable into the headphone connector (use a mic splitter) to generate full-band pink noise. Pink noise is equal energy per octave, and so will appear flat on the RTA display if the system response is flat. See our web site for more information.

*** NEW — in this version, you can save and recall up to ten graphs, marked with the date & time and your comment, as well as store the image to your photo roll.

You can also turn on resettable Max/Min bars (see image #4) to capture peaks. Double-tap to reset the bars.

RTA uses a special frequency-compensation filter to flatten the iPhone mic. Make sure you select Internal on the setup page.

RTA is designed by the same team that built the Audio Toolbox acoustic analyzer.

The internal iPhone mic has a noise floor near 30 dB, and clips around 105 dB. So, be aware that this tool will NOT work in very loud environments, such as clubs or some concerts. RTA will work on first-generation iPhone, but always use the headset mic, as the built-in mic runs at a low sample rate.

If you have an iPod Touch 2nd generation, use a headset mic, and if you have a first generation iPod Touch, you must use one of the dock-connector microphones and be running OS 2.2 or later.

Fully interactive touch GUI features includes scroll up/down, pinch to zoom or compress the vertical dB scale, or swipe horizontally to get a cursor that reads out the exact dB level and frequency across the screen. To make the cursor disappear, swipe it off the graph to the left.

The landscape-mode display flips 180 degrees so that you can face the internal mic in either direction.

Also included are optional noise curve overlays, in NCB, RC, PNC, and NR mode. See picture #2 for an example. Use this feature to get a quick reading on the noise levels in a room. Also includes the cinema large-room X-curve overlay.

RTA can be calibrated, and stores two calibration constants, one for the internal mic and one for the external calibrated test microphone. We even have corrected for the iPhone’s intrinsic high and low-frequency roll-offs.

NOTE: I have enabled purchasing for first gen Touch, but please realize that it has no normal mic or support for a headset mic; you will have to use a 3rd party mic that uses the dock connecter, or wait for our measurement mic.

See our other acoustics and audio apps, LEQ, for recording SPL over time, SPL, the professional Sound Level Meter for the iPhone, ETC, the Energy Time Curve app, Generator, the iPhone signal generator, FFT, for detailed acoustic analysis, RT60, to measure decay time, and Speaker Pop, which tests speaker polarity.

And don’t miss our new SPL Meter app — a faithful reproduction of a classic analog sound level meter.

Also, if you are looking for a great range of high-quality, professional, audio test equipment, check out www.sencore.com. They sell the current versions of the Audio Toolbox, as the SoundPro line of audio test equipment.

iTrumpet

April 18th, 2009

iTrumpet$0.99 from idvance LLC iTrumpet

We at idvance LLC are proud to introduce version 2.1 of iTrumpet. iTrumpet is for people who play “real world” trumpets, not for the casual gamer:

A. iTrumpet does not require you to blow into the iPhone microphone! You blow a real trumpet using a range of mouth positions. We have deliberately chosen not to require confusing alternate behavior for your lips and tongue - we see blowing into the iPhone microphone as an awkward gimmick, not as a practical design point.
B. iTrumpet does not require contrary fingering! You play iTrumpet like a real trumpet, using your right fingers to press keys. To control embouchure, and to get open notes, you use your left thumb - which is idle when playing a real trumpet.
C. iTrumpet simulates a B flat (transposing) trumpet with a full three octave range - and with respectable sound quality for a simulator.

We design and test iTrumpet with experienced trumpet players. We believe that if you are a student or a professional musician, you will find our solution most compatible with how you play your real world instrument. If you are in a marching band or a jazz ensemble, give iTrumpet a try. Then email us at info@idvance.com, and let us know what we can do next to make it even less of a crude alternative when your primary instrument isn’t handy…
