See the current value and the day’s tides in a summary or, by rotating the iPhone/iPod Touch, as a graph. Move from day to day by swiping left or right. Find out sun and moon times via the Information view. Jump over to Maps to see where the station is located.

Choose from a wide variety of units to measure the time and speed your car achieves on the Quartermile or measure how long it takes to get to a certain speed. DynoBox can also calculate the actual power your car produces.

The calibration screen helps you to position your iPhone for maximum accuracy. Please note, that the iPhone has to be placed in a car mount to work accurately.

After each run you can review every split-second by sliding your finger over the display of your iPhone.

The last runs are saved and can be reviewed later.

In addition you will find the current lateral (sideways) force on the bottom of the screen, along with a “Max lateral force” display.

Spots locates the hotspots at your current position. It offers the results you are looking for immediately because all hotspots are stored on your device. With iHUDisplay you can really impress your friends. What normaly is just provided in expensive cars you can now also get in your smaller cheaper car
iHUDisplay shows you the speed, direction and the present GPS-Time on a atractive Display. Just place your iPhone near the windshield and the mirrored display floats just in front of you.

Added to that, you can activate the alarm, which wil alert you if you become faster than the Speedlimit you set.

With Version 2.0, iHUDisplay contains a perfectly integrated radar speed check for the USA and many more countries. The application uses the gps-support.eu database, which now contains locations for more than 98,000 fixed speed traps and redlight cameras.

The application gives a visual warning and (optionally) a sound warning at a good distance before the speed trap. If possible, the application simply informs you of speed checks in your direction.

To get up to date, only the dates in your region will be downloaded. To download the dates, you’ll need an Internet connection, which may require additional costs, depending on your provider.

Active radar speed checks warning devices are not allowed in every Country. Please verify the law in your Country.

Notice:

iHUDisplay uses the GPS of the iPhone 3G. You need a minimun Speed of 5 km/h - 10 km/h to ensure a suggestive Indication. Be sure, that your iPhone cannot fall off while driving. (Don’t clip the iPhone at your windshield, where it’s prohibited by law.)

It visualizies your
- current speed
- average speed,
- time,
- heading,
- altitude,
- maximum reached speed (during the current trip or all your trips), maximum altitude and maximum distance to the starting point of your trip.

The database includes an information about speed cameras in
- Europe (whole EU)
- USA
- Canada
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Brazil
- South Africa
- Singapore.

Program also shows
- color coded distance to the nearest known fixed speed camera;
- it’s speed limit (if known);
- it’s position, relatively to your moving direction, what gives you an idea is the camera in front or behind you;

On approach aSmartHUD+ will give you sound and visual warning. Warning also will be given in case your speed exceeds the speed limit set for that camera.

NOTE: It’s not guaranteed all speed cameras in your area are included into the database. However, we will release database updates right after the new information will become available.

Tapping the “HUD” icon mirrors all the text, so if you position the iPhone horizontally under your car’s windscreen you can see perfectly readable half-transparent reflection of the picture displayed. We love this mode! We found it much more convenient compared to traditional car dashboards. NOTE: this mode works pretty well at night time and twilight, but on direct sunlight the screen brightness can be insufficient.

- “aSmart HUD+” can keep track on 4 speed limits, giving a warning (sound and visual) each time you crossing it. Normally, it’s legal speed limits within cities, local roads and high-speed motorways. “Never exceed speed” is the speed you should not exceed under any conditions. For example, it can be a technical limit of your vehicle or the point where government can arrest your driving license.

- “Camera” icon on the “compass” circle indicates the position of the nearest camera;
- Speed history log chart is placed on the bottom of the screen.
- Landscape and Portrait screen layouts supported.
- Three different compass styles.
- Location Info (longitude and latitude, GPS measurement precision) and some more data is available on separate screen. You can adjust transparency of the “Location Info” screen to use both views at the same time.
- “Records” screen (left upper button on the Location Info screen), where you can see your maximum reached speed (during the current trip or all of your trips), maximum altitude and maximum distance from start.
- Tap the speed indicator to switch into speed fullscreen mode. Cameras info is available there as well;
- In Preferences, you can specify different measurement units (miles per hour, kilometers per hour, knots and meters per second), display color scheme, speed log chart refresh rate and chart style (bars or dots).

Limitations

- The program is running only on GPS-enabled iPhones 3G (second generation or higher) with iPhone OS 2.2 or higher. No iPod Touch, 1st-generation iPhones 2G or minor OS versions supported.

- The precision is affected by the satellite signal quality. On open-sky spaces it’s pretty good, but under other conditions can noticeably decrease. Also, after startup it requires some time to locate the necessary satellites, so during first minutes of running the measurement can be less effective. If unsure, use the program only for reference, don’t rely on it for 100%.

Using a licensed and officially syndicated feed from Transport for London, London JamCams provides you with an “at a glance” view of the traffic congestion on London’s roads.

Cameras can easily be chosen through an indexed A-Z list and can be added to favourites for quick access any time

However unlike similar apps, London JamCams allows you to define and save “Routes of cameras” so you can easily see the congestion along a whole route.

All camera images on the London JamCams are provided and copyright Transport For London (http://www.tfl.gov.uk/) for you own personal and non commercial use.

About Camera Images:

Camera images are provided by External agencies. As such if a camera is unavailable or not recently updated, it is out of the control of London JamCams. In general Camera Images are usually updated approximately within 15 minutes but times can vary. NB All images are currently static.
